Noodle Tools!

To create a works cited page, note cards and outline – or any of those – first create an account in Noodle Tools.

Your Noodle Tools account is connected to your SCHOOL Google account. You can access it in the following ways:

1. Way to Access #1
  • Log into your school Google account
  • click on the apps menu, which looks like this:


  • The Noodle Tools App is way at the bottom of the menu – you’ll probably have to click on ‘more’ at the bottom of the apps menu to find it. It looks like this:


Note: if you are using an iPad or other mobile device, the Google app menu will not display the Noodle Tools app. Go to Noodle Tools and log in on the main screen using your SCHOOL Gmail address:

2. Way to access #2
  • Click on the following link
  • log in using your SCHOOL Gmail address:


3. Way to access #3
  • Go to
  • login under, “Access via Google for Education” – on the right hand side of the screen – using your SCHOOL Gmail address:
  • Once you’re into your Google account, look in the top right hand corner for your apps menu, scroll to the very bottom of the menu, and click on the Noodle Tools icon:


Works Cited

Once you’re in to your Noodle Tools account, click on the green “+New Project” button on the left hand side.

1. A pop up screen will prompt you to title your project, then
  • choose MLA as your citation style
  • choose Junior as your citation level.

2. To start a Works Cited, click on the “Sources” button in the top, middle of the screen.

3. Click on the green “Create a new citation” button at the top left corner of the screen.

4. Choose the location of the source – did you find it in a book? In a database?

5. Choose what type of material it is – an article? Reference (encyclopedia)?

6. Enter all of the information that you can find for the source.

7. You can copy and paste the citation if you have it by clicking on the “Copy and paste a citation” link at the top left hand side of the screen.

8. When you’ve entered all of the information, click on the green “submit” button at the very bottom of the form.
